Wow! The campground has improved so much since we stayed there 3 years ago. Bathroom/shower clean and updated. The staff in the office were helpful and courteous.

The park was great. Staff was friendly. The bathrooms were clean. The showers needed a little cleaning. Loved the sites with the pet fence.

Facilities were nice but the bathroom was disgusting. The smell of old urine hit you in the face as soon as you opened the door. It appeared it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks or months as old urine was caked in the urinals. I drove home with no shower just to avoid going in there my last morning.

Ate up With BEDBUGS our bedding has bugs now and had to throw everything out! Know bedbug issue but i didn’t read reviews first thought it was mosquito bites until found bug in our bedding after leaving!

The only thing to mention is that the bathrooms didn't receive any maintenance during our stay, including no soap, things like that. Otherwise the staff and stay was good.

We stayed in a Deluxe cabin #506. It was a very cute cabin, however not clean at all. Dusty, cobwebs, bugs, dirt on the window sils. definately didnt have a "clean" feel at all. The coach was torn up. It might be time to upgrade a bit. We came with our entire family. We booked two deluxe cabins and two campsites. I would rate it 5 stars except the bathhouses were absolutely disgusting and one soap dispenser was out for 2 days before being filled. It seemed like the employees just rode around on golf carts rather than actually doing anything. Other than that we do love the campground itself and all the activities available

I only gave four stars due to the roaches that were in our cabin. Other than that the campground is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed meeting all the friendly staff two ladies at front desk who answered all my questions and really enjoyed talking breifly with Mr. Willie and Mrs. Bonnie i had a great experience and will plan to return for a stay every year moving forward The place was very clean and comfortable and exceeded our expectations.

Probably the best KOA or RV park we have ever stayed in. Love the heated indoor pool, the size of the RV sites, the friendly staff, firewood delivered to us, the very well-equipped laundry room, the nearby river and virtually no traffic noise. The only thing that was less than stellar were the restrooms and showers. They could be a lot cleaner and it is time for upgrading and remodeling, for sure.

We usually camp but decided to try a cabin for a short weekend stay. We come at least twice a year. Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin 237. There were bloodstains on a pillow case, big chunks of hair like a brush had been cleaned out and left in the pull out mattress, dirty tissue’s stuck in between the cushions of the couch, chunks of dust hanging from fan and more but out of ro

It was the best it has ever been! We arrived at home safe and sound at 6:00 pm on Monday November 6. We had a blast at KOA this visit! There wasn't a lot of campers and you could enjoy the campground silence, the beautiful art that Jesus leaves on our trees during this time of the year! Thank you again for all of your generosity. 4 adults in deluxe 2 bedroom on the creek. Great cabin. Had everything we needed including shampoo, body wash, conditioner, make up wipes, hair dryer! Linens were all there. Dog dishes. Great patio furniture. Very clean. Definitely returning.

An amazing time as always. I usually stay in a tent when I visit but went with a camping cabin this time and it was more than I hoped for. Every time I visit the Cherokee area I always (and will continue to) stay at KOA. Looking forward to next time! -Bryan

Cabin (16): lock did not work, cabin not clean, restrooms: there was toothpaste in the sink for 3 days, toiletpaper almost gone after 3 days, so no cleaning in 3 days. Also mold everywhere on ceilings and walls, disgusting! Before arriving I saw some bedbug rapports and discussed it with the manager, she told us they are not bedbugs but batbugs, but bloodstains are on the beds. will not come back.

We have stayed at this location many times, and stayed in the cabins many times, the cabins are usually very clean. This time it was not as clean, the propane for the grill was empty, the air conditioner was very dirty and needs to be cleaned out and there was a musty smell in the cabin from the main air conditioner. It just seems as if something is different now.

Our group stays 17 nights every Oct. & always pray that we can get our favorite sites. We do wish the grill room was open during our stay.(helpful not to cook all of the time) All of the staff, inside & outside are friendly & very helpful. Love the curbside trash pickup!

A great place to stay. We originally decided to do a campsite. But changed our mind and decided to get a cabin. They accommodated our needs. We rode our motorcycle from Virginia. Rode the Cherohala skyway and the Smokie mountains. They really went out of their way for Halloween! Great service. Great area. We will be back !

Good campground. We were in a camp cabin by the river and really enjoyed the view. The bath house could have been cleaner and better kept t and needs a upgrade.

Absolutely love this campground! So much for my grandchildren to do, just amazing! Clean cabins and campsite, we rented both in our week here. Very accommodating staff, they will help you with just about anything!

Awesome time, spent with my brother. We had a good site on the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. The place was very clean The trout fishing was awesome. Will definitely be back soon

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.
