Going above and beyond doesn’t even describe the staff. They made the trip special. I’ve stayed here many times and it was great. Having said that, we spent over $500 for this last stay and the bedroom door would not ecen shut. The bathroom door had a one inch gap that faced the couch to the toilet. Nobody had any privacy AT ALL. Hot water worked when it felt like it. Ice showers. Ants, spid

We love this campground and the Cherokee area. Only area i would suggest improvement is the cleanliness of the cabins. Nothing major but the inside of the fridge had crumbs left behind and liquid in one of the drawers. The mirror in the hall was dusty and the glass door had lots of finger/hand prints. We still had a great time and just cleaned those things ourselves.

We frequent this KOA on the regular as a getaway and have never been disappointed. We always stay in the cabins which we thoroughly enjoy. The staff are always amazing!

Staff as always was very polite and accommodating. Cabin was clean and cozy. We normally pull our RV, but decided to try one of the cabins. Very happy overall.

There seemed to be a lot of maintenance that was needed this time. I've been staying here for years. Front door blind wouldn't open which was disappointing as it was river front. No screen in one bedroom so couldn't open to hear the river. Grill wasn't working, had to call twice and finally was given the one next door to us. Otherwise was a great trip.

We love Cherokee KOA! We will be back and I'd recommend a stay to friends, however not in the winter. The cabin was way too cold (even with heat). Looking forward to seeing you again in a few months.

The experience has unfortunately declined over the years. We bring our small children here for the polar express. The first year we stayed, there were tons of Christmas activities (2021). Last year there was less but there was still nutcracker painting (2022). This year when I asked at check in, she said, “No we don’t do activities in the off season.” Unfortunate and not sure we will return.

Lovely stay!! Only critique would be to add a light over the porch steps on the cabins. It was dark and scary to walk them. Other than that, it was perfect!

This was our first time at any KOA campgrounds, but we enjoyed our trip so much!! Very clean and quiet. We can’t wait to plan our next trip.

We love to stay at the Cherokee KOA. Our cabin on the river was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Can’t wait to go back!

We had a great time! The mountains are always a comforting scenery to vacation in. We unfortunately had a rainy trip so our use of the Cherokee/Great Smoky amenities was limited but the grounds were well kept and have alot of potential fun in drier weather. A quick trip to surrounding towns give you almost all the fun the Gatlinburg offers without all the crowds while supporting family businesses!

Overall, we had a great stay in cabin 504. We love the little cabins that sit right on the river. We did see a few things that need to be addressed: Need directions to turn on fireplace inside the cabin; Need curtains on all windows (we hung a blanket over the bedroom windows); Wall heater in the bedroom is terribly loud; Need another shelf next to the bed; Bathroom door doesn’t latch very we

Love coming to this KOA in Cherokee. We always have a great time and everything is available to us even in the Winter months. Comfortable cabins, clean bathhouse, and great service. We will be back again, soon!

My husband and I didn't know where to go for our one year anniversary. My husband jokingly suggested that we stay at KOA, but when I looked into it and saw the deluxe cabin, I thought, "Hey, why not? It's a good value." It honestly turned into one of the best trips we've taken in years. We are so excited to have tried KOA and to find how wonderful it is. We'll see y'all again soon!

Ladies working the front desk were very nice and helpful. They arranged for us to move to a different site which made our stay very comfortable for my family. The gentleman that assisted us with our LP fill was very nice as well.

My family and I love coming to the KOA. However this time we were unsatisfied with a couple things. We stayed in a cabin. While pulling out the sofa bed there was a can of dog food. Which makes me wonder did they even change the sheets in the bed? How did they not notice a can of dog food? Second the shower was not very clean at all. The drain was clogged.

My stay was terrible. The refrigerator was not working properly and I believe our food spoiled as a result. Both my son and I have had nausea and vomiting since checking in. The cabin was very dirty with lots of bugs (both dead and alive) in the kitchen sink and on the windows in the bedroom. I would like a refund!

Absolutely love this campground! So much for my grandchildren to do, just amazing! Clean cabins and campsite, we rented both in our week here. Very accommodating staff, they will help you with just about anything!

Awesome time, spent with my brother. We had a good site on the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. The place was very clean The trout fishing was awesome. Will definitely be back soon

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.
